Grade-1-placed Classic-Distance Warrior

Chattahoochee War is a Grade-3 stakes winner at Keeneland and New Track Record setter on turf, who carried his blistering speed (E™ 111) over the Classic distances. A turf specialist like his sire, the Breeders’ Cup Mile-winner War Chant, and out of Irish-bred Grade-3 stakes winner Buffalo Berry, Chattahoochee War became a warrior on the grass, fighting many battles with eventual Eclipse Champion Turf Male ENGLISH CHANNEL.

The grandson of breed-shaping sire Danzig made 10 of his 15 starts in stakes races, seven of them were graded, including the Grade-1 Secretariat Stakes at Arlington, in which he placed. He retired with $555,416 in earnings.

Chattahoochee War is named after a regional war front in the American Civil War during the Atlanta Campaign of Union-General William Tecumseh Sherman along the strategically important Chattahoochee river.
