big-book-wins aocAfter being sidelined for more than seven months, Big Book returned to the races on May 20, 2016 in a 1-1/16 mile Allowance Optional Claimer on the Santa Anita dirt. The four-year-old gray/roan filly by Mr. Big lined up against seven fillies and mares for her comeback and made it a successful trip to the winners’ circle under guidance of Martin Pedrozo. Tim Yakteen trains the California-bred filly, who was born, raised and started at E.A. Ranches, for owner/breeder George Krikorian.

Novel Twist, the dam of graded stakes placed Big Book, has been bred back to Mr. Big for a 2017 full sibling. The stallion, also owned by George Krikorian, is standing at E.A. Ranches in Ramona, CA.
